Hi, I’m Stephanie
Meet Your Trainer
How did I get here?
I’m a native Californian who came to Seattle by way of NYC. Life was chugging along until 2022 when I decided to quit my corporate job and get my 200 hr yoga teaching certification. Since then I’ve continually added to my movement repertoire, specializing in prenatal and postpartum fitness, and more.
What makes me different from other trainers?
I’m a long time teacher. Before I was a trainer, I was a career coach and a manager in tech. I’ve always worked in teaching and mentorship roles. It’s where I thrive, and I bring that passion and skill to fitness coaching as well.
Like most parents, I know what busy means. I know your life doesn’t revolve around the gym. I value and respect your time and will ensure we use that time efficiently.
I built a career as a UX Researcher around careful observation and synthesis, and I bring that to the fitness world. You won’t find any cookie cutter, trendy workouts with me. I’m constantly assessing, giving feedback, and making sure your program adapts to you.
I have a background in multiple movement modalities. Strength and conditioning, several styles of yoga, and breath and body alignment.
Why prenatal/postpartum coaching?
As a mom I know what it’s like to feel like you’ve lost yourself, whether that’s physically or mentally. I believe that building confidence through exercise is a key part of embracing your new identity. Exercise itself is a continual process of self discovery and growth. It can be painful, challenging, fun and rewarding all at the same time. Kind of like parenthood :).
What’s my fitness philosophy?
I believe that fitness helps us feel good in our own bodies and enables us to navigate life with more confidence, ease, and presence. Bodies are meant to be moved, and there are so many unique ways to move them. I combine strength training with yogic principles to design whole body regimens that improve your strength, mobility, and flexibility. Most importantly I help you develop better awareness of your own body. My style of training is supportive yet challenging. I believe we are capable of more than we realize, and I love helping my students reach new heights.
